Ysanne Brooks is a journalist and ceramicist working from a bijou cellar studio in Surrey. Her experience in interiors journalism, including a stint as editor of a national homes magazine, provided her with a taste for all things beautiful. A move out of the Smoke to leafy Surrey 12 years ago became the first step in an exhilarating and rather unexpected journey that's resulted in her developing a ceramics business alongside her continued work in the magazine industry. Inspired by her many years writing about beautiful homes, she now specialises in useful, hand-thrown and hand-built pieces that simply but effectively enhance the home and garden.
